Tech Talk: Building Multi-Agent Systems using Google ADK 2.0 and MCP
Speaker: Arjun Prabhulal (Google Developer Expert)
Abstract: Single-agent architectures look great in early prototypes but struggle when overloaded with too many tools and complex instructions leading to broken reasoning and cluttered context windows. In this session, we will discuss how multi-agent design allows developers to isolate concerns across distinct, specialized agents. This session walks through patterns for building collaborative agent systems using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK 2.0) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). We will cover how ADK 2.0 handles orchestration and inter-agent communication, while MCP provides a unified standard for connecting agents to databases, APIs, and developer tools.
