Tech Talk: Building a Visual RAG application with Vespa in Python
Speaker: Andreas Eriksen (Principal Software Engineer @ Vespa.ai)
Abstract: See how the Vision Language Models (VLMs) let you find information in images in a live demo, including highlighting the area in the image where it is found! VLMs will transform how we find and interact with multi-modal data, like the LLMs transformed how we talk to applications.
Andreas will go through the steps of building an end-to-end Visual RAG application over PDFs using Vespa. All code is open source, you can easily replicate this yourself with your own data! Participants will get insights and tips for building their own Visual RAG applications, and how to make RAG applications scalable and fast.
Tech Talk: Building open source AI test automation tool
Speaker: Alex Rodionov (Alumnium)
Abstract: In this session, I will review approaches to AI-powered test automation. I will also demonstrate Alumnium, an open source test automation. I will go over the challenges of building an LLM-powered test automation tool (hallucinations, reasoning and performance issues, closed vs open models, prompting) and show how Alumnium overcomes them.
