Tech Talk: Causal AI and its Economics
Speaker: Sanchin Raj (ATT)
Abstract: Traditional AI and Gen AI underpin predictions are based on complex correlations among contributing factors that are captured through sophisticated mathematical, probabilistic, and statistical functions. Correlation does not mean causation, and thus, even small error rates introduced by such methods in their predicted outcomes increase risks to businesses and could destroy them completely. Infusing causation into predictions is the cutting-edge means to minimize and in some cases, mitigate such risks. Participants will learn the concepts, available solutions, use-cases, and the economics of Causal AI.
Tech Talk: The Impossible Intern
Speaker: Brent Schneeman (PMG)
Abstract: The presentation showcases how PMG employed tools like Google's Gemini LLM, Graph-of-Thoughts, and Prefect to generate and refine creative ideas. It highlights the integration of atomic prompt design and parametric prompting to extract and summarize creative briefs, generate scoring prompts, and evaluate creative assets such as images and videos. Despite the challenges and limitations faced, including the difficulty of automating complex thought processes and generating high-quality final outputs, the project illustrates the potential of AI to augment the creative workflow. The Impossible Intern stands as a testament to the evolving role of AI in creative industries, emphasizing the need for human oversight and the promise of AI as a powerful tool for augmentation rather than full automation.
Tech Talk: AI with the Safety Off
Speaker: Charles Porges (Novo)
Abstract: There's a lot of talk about the dangers of AI, but there isn't a lot of talk about the dangers of AI Safety. Charles Porges, founder and CEO of trynovo.com, will explore how generative AI is going to transform litigation in the US. He'll also present the idea that dangerous and disruptive aspects of AI are something we should embrace rather than run away from.
