Tech Talk: Financial Analysis with Dynamic Multi-Agent Workflows
Speaker: Ara Ghukasyan (Covalent)
Abstract: Publicly available data such as news articles, social media posts, and financial reports can contain valuable information for assessing the viability of particular stocks. Prior to the advent of powerful AI systems, combing through this data and creating comprehensive reports was an arduous, time-consuming task. Today, with the benefit of Large Language Models, text summarization and sentiment analysis can be performed in a fraction of the time it would take for a human. Instead of slogging through the data ourselves, we now focus on developing frameworks to make the most of these powerful tools.
The concept of “agents” is one example of a framework that aims to interconnect and automate complex analytical tasks that rely on AI. In this talk, we’ll deploy an LLM inference server on Covalent Cloud, then build upon it a series of simple abstractions that implement an agentic workflow. To make the process truly dynamic, we’ll create agents that can create other agents suited specifically the task at hand -- all in a single Jupyter Notebook!
Tech Talk: Deep Dive into GitHub Copilot Extensions
Speaker: Sharon Lo (Github)
Abstract: This May, GitHub Copilot announced the release of GitHub Copilot Extensions, now enabling the community to build on top of GitHub Copilot. With extensions, you can now extend the capabilities of GitHub Copilot Chat and enhance the experience to perform a wide range of actions across your favorite third-party tools, services, and data. Create feature flags, check log errors, access API documentation, and even deploy your application to the cloud all through natural language. In this talk, we'll walk through demos of what extensions are, how to use them, and how to build them and contribute to the ecosystem.
