Welcome to the monthly in-person AI meetup in New York City, in collaboration with Microsoft. Join us for deep dive tech talks on AI, GenAI, LLMs and machine learning, food/drink, networking with speakers and fellow developers
Agenda:
* 5:30pm~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and networking
* 6:00pm~6:10pm: Welcome/community update
* 6:10pm~8:30pm: Tech talks
* 8:30pm: Q&A, Open discussion
Tech Talk: Unstructured Data and Vector Databases
Speaker: Tim Spann (Zilliz)
Abstract: In this session, I will discuss the unstructured data and the world of vector databases, we will see how they different from traditional databases. In which cases you need one and in which you probably don’t. I will also go over Similarity Search, where do you get vectors from and an example of a Vector Database Architecture. Wrapping up with an overview of Milvus.
Tech Talk 2: Unstructured Data Processing
Speaker: George Portillo (ChainFuse)
Abstract: In this session, we will discuss how to identify high stakes data, and share different ways of refining high-stakes unstructured data into meaningful, actionable data, and leverage the AI, LLMs to detect churn, high quality leads, and map a user's message to a user's journey and fill in the blanks.
Tech Talk 3: Decoding LLMs: Evaluations is all you need
Speaker: Jayeeta Putatunda (Fitch Ratings)
Abstract: As the LLM field is seeing dynamic growth and rapid evolution of new architectures, it also requires continuous evaluation methodologies that adapt to changing contexts. Open source initiatives play a pivotal role in addressing the challenges of LLM evaluation, driving progress, facilitating the development of standardized benchmarks, and enabling researchers to consistently benchmark LLM performance across various tasks and domains. We will also evaluate some of the OS evaluation metrics and walkthrough of code using demo dataset
