Join DataStax and Google to learn how to get started and build highly-scalable, production-ready AI applications for your startup or enterprise.

Description:
In the instructor-led hands-on workshop, we’ll introduce all of the basics of your new GenAI toolkit - LLMs, embedding models, vector databases, and LLM frameworks. Next we’ll show you the easiest and fastest way to put all that theory into practice building a working Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) API in minutes! You’ll be working with Langflow to visually generate LangChain code, DataStax AstraDB, Google Gemini, and Google text embedding models. Then we’ll be showing you how RAG can be used to enhance recommendations in e-commerce applications. Last, we’ll have an open discussion and Q&A to hear about the challenges others are facing deploying GenAI apps in their work and some of the solutions they’ve found to be effective.

During this workshop, you will learn:
- The new tools GenAI toolset;
- Building a working RAG API in minutes;
- How to enhance your ecommerce applications with RAG

Agenda:
The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. but stick around for bonus activities and swag from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tech stack/Requirements:
- Participants will utilize DataStax Astra, Google Gemini and related GCP tooling, Langflow, and some third-party tools.
- GitHub account and laptop
