Tech Talk: OpenAI 2-Gen vs 3-Gen Embedding Models

Abstract: This session will focus on using evaluation tools to assess the performance gain of the 3rd generation embeddings. This talk is relevant for : 1) implementing RAG pipelines; 2) building evaluation benchmarks for RAG performance; 3) planning to understand impact on similarity metric (e.g. cosine-similarity,) when migrating across embedding models; 4) leveraging visualization methods to dive through embedding models; and 5) building a decision framework on when to use embedding models that can be fine-tuned
