Tech Talk: Dissecting Language Models to Understand Their Internal Workings
Speaker: Frank Niu (University of Toronto)
Abstract: In the talk, I will discuss the history of LM interpretation research and present the most cutting-edge methods of interpreting the computational mechanisms behind the LMs' amazing capabilities. I will also discuss methods germinated from these research insights to intervene in the behavior of these language models.

Tech Talk: Sora, World Model, Generative AI, & Policy Optimization
Speaker: Yuxi Li (AlphaAgent.net)
Abstract: We will discuss whether a world model will emerge from OpenAI Sora, Yann LeCun world model vs. optimal control vs. reinforcement learning, and generative AI is policy optimization.
