Tech Talk: Reinvent media and entertainment with Gen AI on AWS

Abstract: Media and entertainment customers face industry-wide transformation, with companies reinventing how they create content, optimize media supply chains, and compete for audience attention across streaming, broadcast, and direct-to-consumer platforms more so with the advent of Foundation models and Generative AI. Today, we focus on how AWS is reinventing with Gen AI for the Media and Entertainment industry and go through couple of different use-cases how our other customers are innovating using Gen AI on AWS.

Tech Talk: Developing Machine Learning Methods for Diagnosing Disease from Immune Receptor Sequences
Speaker: Jared Ostmeyer @Ordaos Bio
Abstract: The set of immune receptors in a person contains traces of their past and current immune responses to infections, autoimmune diseases, and various cancers. These traces can be captured by high-throughput immune receptor sequencing. To determine where to find these traces in immune receptor sequences, we developed a family of novel machine learning (ML) methods to identify these traces by comparing the immune receptors sequenced from patients with and without a clinical phenotype. After explaining how these ML methods work, we will show results using these methods to diagnose and predict various autoimmune diseases and cancers. In conclusion, immune receptor sequencing combined with ML may provide a new modality for diagnosing and predicting disease before the condition becomes unresponsive to treatment.
