Tech Talk 1: Build an AI image search app using natural language with OpenAI CLIP model + Vector Search
Speaker: Erick Ramirez @DataStax
Abstract: ChatGPT opened the world to the significant advancement in natural language processing. ML models transform data objects such as text, images and videos into vector embeddings so we can retrieve them using natural language with vector search. In the second installment of this Generative AI series, we will build an AI app to find images in a vector database using text queries in plain English in literally just a few lines of code using OpenAI Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining (CLIP) model. We will go through the fundamental concepts of Generative AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), vector search and more in this live coding session so no prior knowledge is required even for those new to AI.

Tech Talk 2: The Secret to Successful Enterprise AI Solutions
Speaker: Slava Razbash @Standards Australia
Abstract: AI/ML solutions are being automated and simplified by software vendors. For example, RAG solutions can now be deployed with a few clicks. Another example is AutoML. You no longer need to be a data scientist to deploy a supervised learning model. These automatic tools will get you 80% of the solution. They will be enough for a Proof Of Concept. In this talk, Slava will share how to go from a POC to a real solution that your organisation will be comfortable deploying.
