We are excited to bring the AI developer community together to learn and discuss the latest trends, practical experiences, and best practices in the field of AI, LLMs, generative AI, and machine learning.

In addition to the tech talks, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with AI developers, live demos by AI startups, panel discussion, and career opportunities.

Agenda:
- 5:00pm~5:50pm: Checkin, food/drink and networking
- 5:50pm~6:00pm: Welcome, Community update
- 6:00pm~8:00pm: Tech talks, and panel
- 8:00pm~8:30pm: Q&A and Open discussion

Tech Talk 1: Democratizing access to data with LangChain and LLMs
Speaker: Aanu Jibodu, Jack Lauritsen @Teradata
Abstract: Join Aanu and Jack as they build and demo a Generative AI Question Answering system using Teradata VantageCloud and LangChain. They will share how you can easily retrieve relevant information from Teradata VantageCloud database tables and generate accurate and concise answers based on the retrieved data. For this session, Aanu and Jack will use Teradata VantageCloud as an example but the solution presented will work with any database. The combination of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, and Large Language Models, explored during this session, will provide attendees with a helpful approach for extracting knowledge from structured sources and delivering user-friendly responses.

Tech Talk 2: LLMs for Human Conversation: The History, the Nuances, and the Future
Speaker: Kartik Talamadupula @Symbl.ai
Abstract:In this talk, I will review the history of AI for conversation analysis, from early rule-based systems to the latest advances in large language models (LLMs). I will discuss the challenges of modeling the nuances of human conversation, and I will explore the potential of LLMs to address these challenges - including issues of context and token length, multilinguality, and multimodality.

Tech Talk 3: Language Understand and Generation, a RAG Implementation
Speaker: Sean Wu @OpenCUI
Abstract: OpenAI function calling API represent the best developer experience when it comes to dialog understanding, unfortunately, it is expensive, and makes mistake for less popular domains, and most importantly, there is no good way to fix it. We will introduce the considerations in building the opencui/lug, an open sourced rag implementation that can substitute OpenAI function calling API with fully private deployed model for the extra privacy.
