Falco & Wolfi Workshop (New York): Cloud Native Runtime Security

Description
Speaker

Join us for an informative and interactive workshop featuring Falco and Wolfi, presented by cloud native security pioneers, Sysdig Open Source and Chainguard.

Falco is an open source project for runtime threat detection across Kubernetes, containers, hosts, and the cloud. Directly observing workloads, it’s like a security camera for your applications, detecting and reporting unexpected behavior.

Wolfi is the first community Linux (un)distribution designed from the ground up to produce container images that meet the requirements of a modern secure supply chain and aim for zero-known vulnerabilities. It is built using melange, and is sponsored by Chainguard, which uses it to provide lightweight GNU/Linux runtime images.

We will get you up to speed on cloud native applications, software supply chain security, and the role of runtime security. You will learn how it all applies to Kubernetes, and how to use Falco and Wolfi to protect your applications.

What to bring: laptop with a modern web browser and willingness to participate.

What we provide: Falco and Wolfi experts, WiFi Internet, access to your own lab environment, a free copy of Practical Cloud Native Security, good food, fun and friendship.
