This event is hosted by SF Big Analytics Group.

Poorly organized metadata is preventing organizations from realizing the full potential of data. Metadata is incorrect, inconsistent, stale, missing, and fragmented in silos across various disconnected tools obscuring a holistic picture of data.

OpenMetadata is providing a novel approach to the management of metadata with a unified solution that aims to be the foundation for cataloging, discoverability, quality, lineage, operations, and collaboration. The key differentiators are:
- Simplicity with a Schema first and API first approach
- Collaboration between users because data is a team game
- Automation with bots abstraction for automating mundane tasks - quality, data deletion, tag propagation
- Top-Notch UX to enable everybody in the company to unlock the value of data
